25 April - all marked out and no place to go. The builder has marked the footprint of the house, ready for the site to be scraped. |

| 30 April - the digger breaks the ground. |

| 3 May - Malcolm and Emma in the kitchen. | 
|
|
9 May - boxing down and waiting for the council inspectors to check before the first concrete goes in for the footings. |

16 May - Waiting for the concrete slab to be poured. |
 |

18 May - Emma and I came out to watch the concrete being poured, but it was almost all done by the time we arrived at 0830. Fortunately they were a little bit short so they had to get an extra truck to come up and fill in the last corner. |
