28 June - Work on the fascia (bargeboards) has just started and the roofing materials are starting to arrive.

4 July - The roof is starting to go on, which is great because although we have been lucky with the weather so far, we are getting into the worst of winter and it can't last. Hopefully it will be all on before we get any real snow.

The roof really changes the feel of things, somehow makes it all a bit more solid and real.

11 July - Roofing work continues.

18 July - Roof completed, windows mostly in, building paper on.

26 July- Not much change to external appearances.

Roof and windows are all in, most of the soffits are on, pre-plumbing has started, and we have had the electrical walkthrough (but pre-wiring has not started yet). Bricks are due to start any day now, and there is a pile of sand and bags of mortar ready and waiting.
